10 Days Until SPRING!

Ummmm, this is more than a little embarrassing. Has it really been since December that we posted last? I'll blame it on the snow . . .and cold. . .and freezing rain. That pretty much sums up our last three months here in Illinois. But this week we may hit 65!!!!! Oh my gosh our kiddos get to go outside for recess!! And no more snow days?!?! YAY!!

Side note: for those months where your class doesn't go outside give Go Noodle a try. It is seriously awesome and our kiddos LOVE it! They have indoor recesses mixes that are great! The kids get to dance and sing to the music and they have so much fun. It's a great way to get them moving on those cold winter days. It is also great for brain breaks. Even better, it's FREE!

Back to first grade :)

We just finished report cards and can breathe easy for a bit. Those assessments are so hard for our little ones. #frustrating

We have started our unit on frogs and the kids love it! They really enjoy learning about living things (we have studies spiders, penguins, turkeys, reindeer, etc). What kind of animals do you learn about with your kiddos?
